The Occupational Therapy course provides students with the contact with therapeutic resources that promote the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of people or groups. It requires attention associated with physical, sensorial, mental, emotional and social problems, promoting the means for fully developing the individual, helping to overcome difficulties, favoring independence, autonomy, and social inclusion.
After graduating, you may work in hospitals, health centers, living centers, and (physical, psychosocial, and professional) rehabilitation centers, clinics or at home, schools, companies, institutions (geriatric, psychiatric, and correctional). You wll also be able to work in dependency clinics, NGOs, social projects (elderly homes and children daycare), and industries, among others.
