The Chemical Engineering course provides students with knowledge of techniques for extracting raw materials, their use or transformation of chemical and petrochemical products, such as paints, plastic, textiles, paper, and cellulose. It develops skills in designing, building, and creating systems, processes and products, research and development of chemicals, and environmental impact analysis.
After graduating, you will be qualified to work with food, cosmetics, biotechnology, fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, cement, paper, and cellulose. You will also be able to work with nuclear chemistry, polymers, textile chemistry, chemical industries, electroplating, alcohol chemistry, carbochemistry, ceramics, surfactants, explosives, additives, water treatment, environmental areas, among others. You may also assess and create programs and controls for production processes, develop products and equipment, and manage projects of construction and assembly of factories, plants, and treatment stations of water and industrial waste.
