The Biological Sciences course provides students with knowledge of the origin, evolution, structure, and functioning of living beings.You are going to analyze the relationship among different beings and between them and the environment. There are two undergraduate degrees: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor’s degree.
The Bachelor of Arts degree will enable students to have a diversified, broad, emerging, growing, and continuously transforming work field, especially regarding issues associated with sustainability. On the other hand, the bachelor’s degree qualifies students to conduct research, prepare reports / technical opinions on the environmental, public health, and biotechnological areas.
After graduating, the Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences will be able to work in the classroom directly, prepare and analyze educational materials for classroom courses and online learning, such as textbooks, texts, videos, educational programs, among others. This professional will also have space in the non-formal education, such as in scientific diffusion events, museums, zoos, and preservation units, for instance.
As a Bachelor, you will work in the development of scientific (basic and applied) research in College institutions, companies, and laboratories, coordinating and supervising work teams, making analysis and reports, issuing technical opinions and statements regarding environmental, health, and biotechnological areas. In the field of human health, the professional will work in molecular and legal biology, toxicology, water analysis, genetic therapy clinics, and assisted human reproduction. You may also work in public entities for sanitary vigilance, health education, environmental licensing and reports, in the delimitation, preservation, and restoration of legal preservation and permanent protection areas, environmental education, and conservation unit management.
